We have six "Pet-Friendly" properties to suit four legged travel companions. Our site is perfect for taking a different walk every day, swimming at our lake shore or the evening stroll up our private woodland - quite honestly it's dog heaven!

Gardener’s Bothy

As the name suggests, this was previously an outbuilding in our market garden. Now offering cosy lake district breaks.

Crock Boy’s Bothy

Originally our potting shed, Crock Boys is now a beautiful Bothy for your lake district adventure. Located in the original walled garden.

You will be greeted with floor to ceiling views of lake and fells, giving you the perfect setting to your stay. Kestrel offers a great balance of comfort and family life in one of the most beautiful parts of England.

We had a wonderful stay in the Kestrel Lodge. The accommodation was in a great location and had everything we needed, truly making it a home from home. Mike was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions.

A fantastic cabin in an absolutely stunning location. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wished we had booked a longer stay - we’ll definitely be back in 2026. To paraphrase my daughter, “Exceeded expectations!”

Love it here and have stayed 3 times now. It's a great base for our hiking. Chalets are fully equipped with everything you need. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

It's unusual for me to give a 5 star rating to a place that's... when all said and done, pretty basic but I just love the place! It's so beautiful and peaceful away from the traditional tourist areas of the Lakes and the kids can play in total safety and freedom.
